What is Aroon?

Aroon is a protocol designed for creating and trading a variety of financial instruments on a completely decentralized network.

Aroon's mainnet is operated by a network of validator nodes. There's also a testnet version called Aroon Testnet, which offers a safe environment to experiment with trading various instruments like futures and perpetuals.

What can you do on the Aroon mainnet?

• Trade on various financial markets: Engage in trading on markets that the community has proposed and voted on, either programmatically or using Aroon's user interface.

• Participate in validator nominations: As a tokenholder, you can nominate validators and earn rewards for contributing to the network's security through the governance app.

• Engage in network governance: Tokenholders have the power to propose and vote on new markets, changes to existing markets, and adjustments to network configurations. To engage in these activities, you'll need a wallet compatible with the Aroon network. Check out all the available options under our apps section.

Mainnet incidents: Any incidents on the mainnet, along with their resolutions, are published on our blog.

Using Aroon:

• Create an Aroon keypair.

• Get an Aroon Wallet: Essential for trading and staking tokens, available as a browser extension or a downloadable app.

• Use Aroon Snap: An easy way to create an Aroon keypair is through the MetaMask Snap feature. Remember, you'll also need an Ethereum wallet with some Ethereum to cover gas fees for asset deposits onto the Aroon chain.

Trading on the mainnet:

• Aroon Console: Use our IPFS-hosted trading interface to deposit assets, execute trades, and monitor your positions.

• Programmatic Trading: Learn how to trade using Aroon's APIs and tools.

• Build Your Trading Bot: Follow our tutorials to create your own trading bot.

Token Management and Network Governance:

• View and participate in mainnet governance proposals using your $ARO tokens.

• Interact with your $ARO tokens through the mainnet token interface.

• Experiment with the Fairground token interface using testnet tokens to familiarize yourself with the system.

Aroon's Testnet - Fairground:

• Discover Fairground: Learn about Aroon's testnet and stay updated on upcoming incentive opportunities.

• Practice Trading: Test your trading strategies on Fairground with testnet assets.

• Share Market Proposals: If you propose a market, announce it on Discord to gather community votes.
